7. Oklahoma State

2012-13 Golfweek rank: 14

Go-to girl: Casie Cathrea

Season outlook: Finally, Casie Cathrea will join the Oklahoma State roster. Here’s a player who Photoshopped herself onto a Cowgirl backdrop to use as her Twitter avatar not long after verbally committing and quickly stocked her closet with OSU orange. To say she’ll bring a passion to the program is an understatement.

Oklahoma State did suffer a big loss with the graduation of Kelsey Vines, who at one point last spring occupied the top spot in Golfweek’s individual rankings. But Cathrea’s intensity and talent should go a long way toward helping to fill that void.

Otherwise, however, there’s plenty of experience on this squad, which returns three seniors in Lauren Falley, Jayde Panos and Amy Ruengmateekhun. Also back is sophomore Julie Yang, who posted top-20 finishes in the season's last four events, including a victory at SMU's Dallas Athletic Club Invitational, top 10s at the Big 12 Championship and NCAA East Regional, and a team-best T-17 at the NCAA Championship. Not a bad situation for Courtney Jones to walk into in her first season as a college head coach.
