Wisconsin women hold off Minnesota at Entrada
Wisconsin claimed its second team victory of the season on Tuesday at the BYU at Entrada Classic. The Badgers finished 54 holes at Entrada at Snow Canyon in St. George, Utah, with a 24-over 888 total.
Wisconsin trailed host BYU by four shots after the first round, but made up ground in Round 2. Wisconsin shot its best round of the tournament, a 5-over 293, and outpaced BYU by 18 shots. Wisconsin also won the Hoosier Invitational in the fall.
Minnesota made a run at the Badgers in Round 3 with a 6-over 294, the best final-round score, but came up six shots short. Minnesota finished the tournament at 3-over 894.
Nevada was solo third at 46-over 910, and Cal State Fullerton finished fourth, another three shots behind that.
In the individual race, Wisconsin’s Kimberly Kinh won with an even-par 216 total. Teammate Kris Yoo finished second, one shot back.
