Stricker targets Match Play for his next appearance
Steve Stricker committed Tuesday to return to the PGA Tour in two weeks at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz.
Stricker, who will turn 46 on the Saturday of the Match Play week, hasn't played on Tour since a runner-up finish at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Maui to open the season.
Late last year, Stricker disclosed that he would play a reduced schedule this year, perhaps half of his 19 tournaments in 2012.
Stricker, a 12-time winner on Tour, won the 2001 Match Play at Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia, the event's only staging outside of the U.S.
