There will be plenty of familiar faces making their 2013 PGA Tour debut this week at the Northern Trust Open.

Luke Donald, Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Graeme McDowell and Charl Schwartzel will all tee it up at Riviera hoping to get their years started with a victory.

Two of them also make the cut with our panel of experts - with Donald and Schwartzel both registering as overall favorites.

Our panel picked six different favorites this week, including Jimmy Walker, Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson. The only player to be picked more than once is Charles Howell III.

As for our panel, Jeff Rude holds a slim lead over Nick Masuda for the overall lead. Masuda picked Brandt Snedeker at Pebble Beach for his second correct pick of the season. Rude has the only other one.

Here is a look at this week's picks:

Rank Winner Wild Card Last Week
Rude Luke Donald

He's No. 3 in the world and has played well at Riviera – runner-up three years ago, for example.

Chris Kirk

Former Georgia star in great form, evidenced by second on Sunday at Pebble Beach and a T-5 at the Sony Open in his first start of the year.

Winner: Phil Mickelson ($14,235); wild card: Charlie Wi ($94,250). 2013 total: $2,681,359

McCabe Keegan Bradley

Seems to be a quick-learner, because after missing the cut in his Riviera debut in 2011, he made it into a playoff against Bill Haas and Phil Mickelson last year. Needs to jump-start his season. Why not this week?

Chris Kirk

No good memories here (two starts, two missed-cuts), but plenty of positive vibes for 2013 (a T-5 and a second at Pebble Beach) so here's hoping he carries that into this week.

Winner: Padraig Harrington (MC); wild card: Bryce Molder ($131,625). 2013 total: $1,687,210

Martin Bubba Watson

Quietly has racked up two top-15 finishes in two starts this year, including a fourth-place showing at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. He was 13th in this event a year ago.

J.B. Holmes

Can't argue with these results: he's had four top-10s in the past five years at Riviera. His worst finish in that span? T-12.

Winner: Dustin Johnson (MC); wild card: Aaron Baddeley ($131,625). 2013 total: $1,175,690

Ringler Jimmy Walker

In a field full of big names, Walker will sneak in and be in contention by Sunday. Walker has made the cut in each of his five starts this year including two top-4 finishes. His play at Riviera is also worth noting: finishing fourth in each of the last two years.

Charles Howell III

His recent form at Riviera is not the best but did win here in 2007 and has played very well in 2013 with three top-10s in four starts.

Winner: Phil Mickelson ($14,235); wild card: Kevin Stadler ($338,000). 2013 total: $2,349,886

Miceli Phil Mickelson

Good week, bad week, so good week coming up.

Charles Howell III

Maybe the best player that hasn't won this year, plus he loves Riviera

Winner: Phil Mickelson ($14,235); wild card: Tom Gillis (MC). 2013 total: $486,460

Masuda Charl Schwartzel

Over his last four starts he has a win, a second place (last week at Joburg), a T-3 and a fifth. Seems to be finding his old 2011 Masters form.

Patrick Cantlay

Played Riviera some as a UCLA star and says he feels comfortable on the Southern California track. Coming off his first top-10 of his young career as well.

Winner: Brandt Snedeker ($1,170,000); wild card: Charlie Wi ($94,250). 2013 total: $2,676,208
