Cal exacted revenge on New Mexico in impressive fashion Friday at the John Burns Intercollegiate at Turtle Bay Resort in Kahuku, Hawaii. The Bears, No. 1 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, shot 14-under 850 (284-282-284) to win by 27 shots over the Lobos.

Cal had won all five of its fall tournaments before finishing third to No. 4 New Mexico in their last tournament, the Arizona Intercollegiate. Cal had the top three individual finishers, as well. Joel Stalter, No. 11 in the Golfweek/Sagarins, shot 12-under 204 (67-70-67) to win by eight shots over teammate Max Homa (71-68-73). U.S. Amateur runner-up Michael Weaver of Cal was third at 2 under (72-70-72). BYU's Zac Blair was the only other player to finish under par, shooting 1-under 215.

Cal has now won six of its seven tournaments this season.
