Adams Golf is bulking up its PGA Tour staff for 2008.
The Plano, Texas-based equipment maker has upgraded its endorsement contracts with Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey and Brad Elder.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Gainey, 31, became an Adams staff player before the 2007 season, thanks to his victory on Golf Channel’s Big Break IV reality show. He earned his 2008 PGA Tour card by finishing 19th at Q-school. He will wear an Adams Golf hat, carry a staff bag and play its hybrids while working with the company to determine which irons and woods he will use.
Elder, 32, makes his return to the Tour after finishing 17th on the 2007 Nationwide Tour money list. He will continue to wear the Adams Golf hat, carry a tour staff bag and play Adams hybrids and woods.
Last season on the Nationwide Tour, Elder had one victory, six top 10s and nine top 25 finishes, which earned him more than $230,000.
