Kim wins Pacific Coast Amateur

Chan Kim took a narrow win at the Pacific Coast Amateur, besting Zack Sucher in Round 4 to keep his third-round lead.

Kim, of Chandler, Ariz., had just one bogey en route to a final-round 68. He never scored higher than 69 throughout the tournament, and was the only player in the field to consistently stay under 70.

Sucher, who also took second at the Azalea Amateur and finished T-3 at the Palmetto Amateur, started the tournament with a 65 to take a share of the first-round lead with Eric Mina. Sucher, of Mobile, Ala., had just one bogey on the week, which came at the par-4 6th during his third-round 71.

Mark Anderson, of Beaufort, S.C., and Richard Lee, of Bellevue, Wash., finished tied for third. Anderson recorded another T-3 at the Players Amateur earlier this month.
