Suzann Pettersen will skip the LPGA’s Hana Bank Kolon Championship in Korea to allow more time for her left foot to heal. Pettersen flew to Copenhagen to take part in Friday’s final presentation before the International Olympic Committee.
From there she heads to Oslo for an MRI and consultation with Lars Engebretsen, the chief medical officer for the Norwegian Olympic Center. Earlier tests indicate Pettersen suffers from a stress fracture on the outside of her left foot.
She’ll be back in competition at the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge Nov. 10, followed by the Lorena Ochoa Invitational and Tour Championship.
Pettersen currently ranks fourth on the LPGA money list and third in the Rolex Rankings.
