Scott (No. 46, 2011) commits to Kent State

Nicholas Scott of Union, Ohio, has verbally committed to play his collegiate golf at Kent State. The senior-to-be at Northmont High School is ranked No. 46 in the 2011 class and is the top-ranked golfer in Ohio.

Scott selected Kent State over Ohio State and Ole Miss.

“I chose Kent State because they are consistently one of the top golf programs in the country,” Scott said. “Coach (Herb) Page was the biggest reason for me selecting Kent State. He has proven that his program is able to compete with any school in the country every year. Kent State’s indoor facility is one of the best in the country, and with me growing up in Ohio and being able to chip and putt all winter, it will certainly help me develop into a better player.”

Scott recently won the AJGA Nemacolin Junior Classic, placed third at the AJGA Coca-Cola Junior Championship At Boyne Highlands and qualified for his third straight USGA Boys Junior.
