Caitlyn Jenner – formerly known as Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner – will have an uphill battle to keep the privileges she had as a male member of Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Jenner is a 15-year member at the club – with an initiation cost of $225,000 – and plays multiple times per week with the likes of Wayne Gretzky and other celebrities.

But club rules segregate men and women in areas, with the male-only main dining room now off limits to Jenner. There is a restaurant for women, but it is smaller and will not give Jenner the camaraderie that she enjoyed as a male member.

According to TMZ, Sherwood sources have indicated they intend to enforce the rules, although the board is reportedly open to an appeal by Jenner.

Sherwood is closed until December, which might give the two parties time to figure it out.

Jenner recently underwent facial-feminziation and breast augmentation surgery, and announced her new name on the cover of Vanity Fair on Monday.
