After coming into the final round at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, N.Y., at 4 over, Sean Crocker used a hot start in his final round to guide him to the Monroe Invitational Championship title.

Crocker played his first four holes in 5 under, making three birdies and an eagle to get under par for the tournament.

Crocker made five more birdies on his way to a 7-under 63 as he clinched a four-shot win over Andrew McCain of Jacksonville, Fla.

Crocker’s play after the turn played a large part in the victory. Crocker played holes 10, 11 and 12 at 7 under for the week.

Crocker, a USC junior from Westlake Village, Calif., came all the way back after a 7-over 77 in his second round.

Cristobal Del Solar and Jared du Toit finished joint third at 2 over. Ben Wolcott, Brian Carlson and Thomas Eldridge tied for fifth at 3 over.

McCain made the turn at 4 under par for the tournament, but two double bogeys and a bogey on the back nine dropped him to 1 over.
