Tyson Dinsmore’s short list for colleges was pretty impressive: SMU, Stanford, Washington, Arizona and Columbia.
In the end, the 16-year-old from Los Altos Hills, Calif., decided he will be making the trip to Dallas to attend SMU beginning in the fall of 2018.
“I chose SMU because it has everything I am looking for in a college,” said Dinsmore, who is a junior at Saint Francis High in Mountain View, Calif. “Great academics, a spectacular campus, top tier golf facilities, and Coach (Jason) Enloe and Coach (Chris) Parra have put together a roster that I believe will compete at the national level.
“I can’t wait to play with this team, I know playing with such great players can only help me get better, and the course and practice areas of Trinity Forest are world class.”
Dinsmore is the fourth verbal commitment for Enloe’s 2018 class. Also committed to SMU for 2018 are:
- Noah Goodwin, Corinth, Texas
- Joe Highsmith, Tacoma, Wash.
- Shuai Ming (Ben) Wong, The Woodlands, Texas
