Antigua’s 2017 line of golf polos for men and women has something for a variety of golfers.
On the men’s side, Antigua incorporated spandex into its polos. They include the Sustain polo, which takes a solid piece-dyed jersey/spandex top shoulder detail and contrasts it against a heather over-dyed pointelle mesh, and the Streak polo, which uses a simply engineered chest and sleeve panel of primary brights complemented by a grey heather jersey front torso panel.
“Almost every style has incorporated this fiber into the construction of fashion fabrics for both function and form, eliminating any garment resistance throughout the golf swing and offering an enhanced supple hand, smooth drape and renewed recovery with every use,” said Sean Gregg, Antigua’s vice president of product development and marketing support.
Antigua’s wide variety of men’s polos features pop accent colors, stripes, contrasting colors, geometric mesh patterns, heather overdyed insets, sublimation prints and more.
On the women’s side, simplicity is the main theme.
“The 2017 ladies golf collection is a continuation of the simplicity that the ’16 line embodied,” said Danielle Dellios, Antigua’s women’s designer. “In the new collection, fabrics and colors play a key role versus styling and silhouette. The market was calling for a fresh take on primary color, which was made possible by mixing colors together. Thus, each grouping consists of two primaries. For example, our new green color, Cypress, is mixed with a bright blue color, Cabana. There are a total of four color combos, each mixing two primary colors.
“Every printed, striped or colorblocked style within the collection mixes the two colors, instead of using traditional neutral accents like gray or khaki. Combining two complementary primary shades really pops. Prints are as strong as ever in the marketplace, which meant creating unique artwork that could also be used to mix colors and give new life to basic styles.”
New women’s polo styles include the Mischief, a sleeveless polo that features an asymmetrical fabric blocking detail using a printed geometric pattern run at an angle across the top of the garment and a solid poly mesh fabric for the bottom half. There also is the Trust polo, which features an ultra-light, high-stretch woven fabric, along with a few feminine details such as rounded tail bottom and pin-tucks at the top shoulder.
Antigua’s wide variety of women’s golf polos features silicone printing, pointelle mesh patterns, bold linear sublimation prints and much more.
