Johnson ranks only 55th on Tour in sand saves (53.33 percent), better than average but not great. Of course, when a player hits it into as few bunkers as Johnson does, that isn’t too big a weakness. He ranks a below-average 150th on Tour in proximity from sand (10 feet 6 inches), but his flat stick helps bail him out because he tends to make more of those putts than average.
