1) Ben Hogan’s vision.
When Mr. Hogan founded his Company way back in 1953, his goal was to manufacture “the best-quality and highest-performing” golf equipment in the world. We still live by that mission today. Nothing we produce ever leaves our factory until we feel confident that it would make Mr. Hogan proud.
You’ve heard of craft beer, right? At Ben Hogan we operate under the same principle. No mass production; no short-cuts. We build every single club to exacting and individual specifications. Each set is built as a set. In fact, we don’t ‘stock’ anything to ensure your clubs are just that. Yours.
3) Lower costs + no retail mark-up = lower prices.
We think the retail prices of golf equipment is simply out of control. $500+ for a new driver? $2,500+ for a new set of irons? Come on, man. We don’t have any fancy buildings (trust us), no salesforce, minimal tour endorsements and marketing budgets. Plus, we only sell online, directly to you at BenHoganGolf.com, so you don’t pay the 40% – 60% mark-up most retailers charge you for the privilege of shopping in their stores.
4) If it doesn’t say FORGED, it isn’t.
We’ll spare you the lesson in metallurgy, but at Ben Hogan we believe forged clubs are vastly superior to investment cast clubs. Forged clubs are more expensive and time consuming to produce, but unlike inexpensive cast clubs, they provide much more feel, feedback and consistency.
5) USA Made.
Though some of the components used on Ben Hogan golf clubs are manufactured overseas, all assembly, quality control, and shipping is done in our Fort Worth, Texas factory … only a few miles from Mr. Hogan’s original factory. Call some of the larger equipment manufacturers and ask where their assembly is done. You might be surprised.
6) Something for everyone.
While the Ben Hogan brand has long been known as the choice for better, more accomplished players, almost any serious golfer can find something to suit their game. Our new EDGE irons are extremely forgiving, and our new Precision Milled Forged putters will help any golfer on the toughest greens.
7) Try before you buy.
No, you won’t find Ben Hogan golf clubs in your local golf store. Which means you won’t be able to hit them into a net. Instead, our Demo Program allows you to try two clubs at your leisure (OK, really over a two-week period) without a salesperson looking over your shoulder. Compare them to your current clubs but, more importantly, compare them to competitor’s clubs. We’ll wait for your order.
8) Always something new.
Because we aren’t beholden to retail store ‘shelf sets’ and seasonal schedules, we introduce new products on a regular basis … when we are darn good and ready … and confident that they are worthy of Mr. Hogan’s signature logo. Check out BenHoganGolf.com and learn more about the new PTx PRO irons and GS53 drivers and fairway woods.
9) We believe in uncluttered closets and garages.
Subsidize the price of your new Ben Hogan clubs with our Trade UP program. Buy new equipment from us, then trade in your old stuff (it doesn’t even have to be ours!). We’ll give you fair market value for the equipment you trade in, to help offset the purchase price.
10) See reason #1.
